This year we saw the depth within the club continue to grow, with more swimmers qualifying for the Youth and Age Regional Championships than in the previous year.

Our older athletes used the Regionals as an early chance to cement National qualifying times for the summer meets. Whilst other members of our Pro Squad were finalising preparation for British Trials and therefore didn’t compete.

With a range of experience from within the club compete. From the 17& Over relays including some of our international swimmers, to those swimmers racing at this level for the first time. All swimmers engaged in the process and learned through their racing experiences; what they did and where they performed well, along with learning moments and areas for improvement.

Some of the highlights included
17 & Over Relays winning 4 gold medals, and qualifying for the British Summer Championships. With the Mens 4×100 Free being ranked 1st in Britain.

Carey Sullivan showing the strength in her all round conditioning, competing in 7 finals in the 13 year age group; winning a Silver and Bronze medals.

The younger athletes qualifying for their first finals and posting huge best times, with likes of Emily Rowe dropping 10 seconds in her 200 Butterfly, to come 5th in the event.

Total Medal Count was:
12 Gold
4 Silver
8 Bronze
Plenty of PBs

We had a really successful meet across the three weekends, with hard racing and lot of lessons learnt to improve moving into the later parts of the season.
