Head Coach
Mark Rose

Mark has coached International swimmers for the last 17 consecutive years, representing his country throughout this time. Mark has also spent a number of years as Head
Coach to a number of British Teams at Junior and Seniors, European and World Championships,
along with a number of camps and competitions. Mark has coached swimmers up to the Olympic
Games final and multiple Paralympic Champions. Over his many years of coaching, his swimmers
have broken over 100 National records.

Performance Analyst
Lewis Fox

Lewis has spent almost 5 years as the Strength and Conditioning Coach at COMAST, working with National and International swimmers aged 16-15. Alongside this, Lewis has always support Swim England at National Development camps and DiSE programmes.

Lewis is a UKSCA Accredited Strength and Conditioning Coach, British Weightlifting Level 2 Coach and has a MRes Distinction in Sport and Exercise Physiology.

National Coach
Matt Turner

Matt is a Level 3 qualified swimming coach and lead performance coach at COMAST. He has coached at Manchester for 7 years and before that for a number of years in Queensland, Australia working with a variety of National athletes and National champions.

Matt has done various Head Coach roles for Swim England Regional and National talent programmes.

Regional & County Coach
Graeme Smith

Following a successful swimming career, winning 10 major games medals including Olympic Bronze. Graeme worked as an athlete liaison at British Swimming, an athlete manager in the lead up to London 2012, and swimming coach for the British Para National Centre since 2013 as a Level 3 qualified coach.

Graeme has been fortunate to work alongside or observe a number of world leading coaches throughout his career which has helped form his values and philosophies for coaching.

Development 2 Coach
Kiera Hall

Kiera is a Level 2 qualified swimming coach, currently working with athletes aged 9-11 years old aiming for county qualification. She has coached at Manchester for around 7 years across a number of squads, and previously coached at her local swimming club and was a swimming teacher for GLL.

As a previous competitive swimmer, Kiera is able to bring her previous experience to support the development of young swimmers at the start of their swimming pathway.

Outside of coaching, Kiera works within software engineering as a Business Analyst.

Development 1 Coach
Lula Parker-Morrison

Lula is a Level 2 qualified swimming teacher supporting our Development 1 squad working on high levels of technique and early competitive skills.

Lula has previously reached National level at COMST where she swam competitively for 8 years.

She is currently studying for her A-Levels in Maths and History.

Hough End Coach
Vinnie Camilleri

Vinnie is our Lead Coach at COMAST Hough End. A qualified Level 2 swimming teacher, Level 2 swimming coach and gym instructor. Vinnie has been a member of the coaching team since 2015.

Vinnie is a great mentor for swimmers progressing from Learn to Swim to a club environment, providing a safe and enjoyable setting for swimmers to achieve their potential.

MW Academy Coach
Matt Walker

Matt is a Level 2 qualified swimming coach, currently working with a variety of athletes within our programme for around 15 years.

As a previous competitive swimmer, Matt has competed in 4 paralympic games winning 11 medals. He has also achieved several medals at European and World Championships.

Matt was appointed Member of the British Empire (MBE) in 2009 New Years Honors for his services to disabled sport.
