On Saturday 1st July 2023, a small handful of our swimmers headed to Sale Water Park for Swim England North West Regional Open Water Championships.
Results from this competition would allow swimmer to qualify for the Swim England National Open Water Championships set to be held on 29th July 2023 at Thrybergh Country Park, Rotherham.
Conditions were really tough during the early part of the event with extremely strong head winds and rain. Fortunately, for the later races the weather changed with the sun shining for the rest of the afternoon.
Water temperature was 22 degrees, which meant no wetsuits in sights.
